WHO WE ARE
A single liter of oil spill can contaminate up to 1 million liters of water. Cooking oil spills in domestic sewage systems, as well as the leakage of lubricating oils or even crude oil into bodies of water, have a major environmental impact. On the other hand, industries that use oil as a cooling fluid for their processes or washing tanks produce large volumes of oily water as waste. In addition to reducing potability for human consumption, oil reduces the availability of oxygen in bodies of water, which causes the death of aquatic fauna. AQUALUFFA innovates disruptively by combining two functionalities in a single product: water decontamination through oil sorption and degradation of oily contaminants through photocatalysis.
AQUALUFFA is in the preparation phase to be certified as a B company. We are responsible for promoting the B principles in the Northeast and Northeast of Brazil.
AQUALUFFA promotes sustainable development goals numbers 9, 12, and 14. Aligned with the principles of the Circular Economy, we seek to increase the number of certified B companies in the country.
